The sE8 is a brand new high-performance handcrafted small diaphragm condenser, fresh from the labs at sE. Fit for any challenges in the studio or on stage, this small in stature microphone is huge in sound. Its new hand-made capsule implements a sophisticated backplate design that provides a perfectly balanced sound, ensuring it's never harsh or aggressive, making it perfect for sources like high hats and drum overheads.

One of the quietest small capsule mics on the planet, the sE8 boasts the highest dynamic range and SPL handling in its class. Equipped with attenuation pads and low cut filters, it offers superb flexibility, ready for any sounds you're making, whether in the studio environment or demanding on-stage applications.

The sE8 features a Handcrafted True Condenser Capsule with a Cardioid Polar Pattern and a Frequency Range of 20 Hz - 20 kHz. Its Sensitivity is 25 mV/Pa (-32 dBV) and it can handle Max SPL of 139 / 149 / 159 dB (0/10/20 dB pad) at 0.5% THD 1kHz. The Equivalent Noise Level is 13 dB(A), and it has a Dynamic Range of 126 / 136 / 146 dB (0/10/20 dB Attenuation pad) with a Signal to Noise Ratio of 81 dB.

The microphone offers two switchable Low Cut Filters at 80 / 160 Hz, 6 dB/Oct, and two switchable Attenuation Pads at 10 / 20dB. It is Powered by 48 Volts according to IEC 61938, with an Electrical Impedance of 110 Ohms and a Recommended Load Impedance of 1k Ohms. The Current Consumption is 2.7 mA, and it features a 3 pin male XLR Connector.
